Our eco-responsible commitments

ECO-TOURISM, AN ESSENTIAL VALUE FOR OUR HOLIDAY RENTAL IN CHAMPAGNE

To sustainably preserve natural spaces (fauna and flora) and the environment in which we operate, we naturally follow an approach of respecting the environment on a daily basis.

Our holiday home in Epernay near Reims benefits from a 3-star national ""furnished tourist"" rating.
We also benefit from the "" departmental Ecotourism label"" for our commitment and our practices in favor of more responsible tourism.

OUR APPROACH TO ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TOURISM WITHIN OUR HOLIDAY RENTAL WITH JACCUZI IN EPERNAY

1. Limiting waste in our gîte in Epernay: our shower gel bottles are reusable with eco refills. We put solid soaps near the sinks.We offer washcloths to remove makeup to limit the use of cotton
2. Ecological products for our holiday home in champagne and linen in particular.
3. Provision of a compost bin in the kitchen for organic materials & a composter in the garden of Cémarose Gîte & Spa.
4. Bins for individual selective sorting in the kitchen. Information for our gîte guests on the proper use of sorting bins.
5. Sanitary equipment with aerator or flow reducer.
6. Harvesting rainwater for garden maintenance.
7. Reinforcement of the insulation of the house, particularly at the roof level, with wood wool.
8. New windows with high thermal insulation.
9. Use of ecological or low environmental impact materials in home renovation. Example: parquet flooring in the living room labeled ""Ange Bleu"", paint NF Environnement class A+ certified.
10. Purchase of second-hand and upcycled furniture. 80% of the lighting fixtures are old or French-made and artisanal.
11. Renewal of household appliances by favoring economical equipment.
12. Electromobilist reception: provision of a charging station for electric vehicles.
13. We offer a bottle of champagne to travelers who come to stay at the gîte by train or bike from home.
14. The Jacuzzi benefits from good insulation of the tank, walls and bottom. A ""very cold"" insulating blanket prevents heat loss too quickly. The filtration system is low consumption. A countdown counter allows you to control electricity consumption. An economy mode is programmable.
