In 2025, the Avenue de Champagne celebrates its centenary, offering a multitude of cultural and festive events not to be missed. 📅 Highlights of the centenary of Avenue de Champagne

🎨 Open-air exhibition "Champagne Avenue, 100 years already!"

Since January 16, 2025, an open-air exhibition has been retracing the history and heritage of this famous thoroughfare. The themes evolve with the seasons:

🏃‍♂️ 10 km from Épernay, Champagne Country

On April 25, 2025, more than 1,500 runners will set off from Avenue de Champagne for this iconic race, combining sport and conviviality.

🎶 Music Festival

On June 21, 2025, the gardens of the Town Hall and the museum will come alive with a variety of concerts, celebrating music in all its forms in a festive atmosphere.

🥂 White Party

On July 14, 2025, on the occasion of the National Day and the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the "Slopes, Houses and Cellars of Champagne" as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a white picnic will be organized on the Avenue de Champagne, followed by a popular ball and a fireworks display.

🏛️ European Heritage Days

On September 20 and 21, 2025, Avenue de Champagne will be in the spotlight with special tours and events, offering a dive into its rich past.

🎭 Exhibition "And suddenly the champagne"

From October 2025 to April 2026, the Champagne Wine and Regional Archaeology Museum will present an exhibition exploring the cultural and social representations of champagne through various works and objects.

🏃‍♀️ 100 km Challenge

On October 5, 2025, take part in this friendly sporting event on Avenue de Champagne, aiming to collectively cover more than 100 km, whether running or walking.

✨ Clothes of Light

From December 12 to 14, 2025, the 25th edition of this event will illuminate the Avenue de Champagne with street performances, light installations, champagne bars, as well as gastronomic entertainment and a parade of vintage vehicles.

🥂 10 years since the UNESCO listing of the Hillsides, Houses and Cellars of Champagne

July 4, 2025, will mark the 10th anniversary of its World Heritage listing. Events will be organized around iconic sites, particularly in Épernay, Hautvillers, and the historic hillsides. A wonderful opportunity to rediscover this exceptional landscape.

🚴‍♀️Cycling tourism in Champagne: a slow-paced experience

Discover Épernay and its surroundings by bike in slow mode

Champagne offers an ideal playground for cycling enthusiasts. Between vineyard-covered valleys, picturesque villages, and Champagne houses, each pedal stroke takes you through exceptional landscapes. The Épernay Tourist Office offers several cycling routes suitable for all levels, from family rides of a few kilometers to sporty itineraries through the vineyards.

Opt for a slow-paced stay that will allow you to savor every moment of your stay. On a bike, time stands still, giving you the opportunity to stop at a winery, picnic among the vines, or photograph a breathtaking panorama. The small country roads of the Champagne vineyards and the greenways invite you to take the time to experience and appreciate the authenticity of the Champagne villages.

The cycle route crisscrosses the Marne Valley for 92 km, between Champagne vineyards, chalk valleys, places of remembrance and pilgrimage, and landscapes and monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
